About

Blue Notes are briefing notes prepared by Citizens’ Climate International, with input from partners and allies, focusing on principles for policy design, means of implementation, and strategies for mobilizing finance and solutions. They are intended as ad-hoc briefing materials, which include insights at the strategic level and for practical implementation, and may evolve over time.

Citizens’ Climate International works toward climate-resilient development and a climate-safe future, through four programs:

  • Volunteer Empowerment – Supports citizen volunteers across six continents in their efforts to engage government, media, and their communities, to build political will for a livable climate future.
  • Civic Diplomacy – Connecting people and communities to intergovernmental processes, sustaining stakeholder-driven engagement, and co-convening the Earth Diplomacy Leadership Initiative with The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
  • Carbon Pricing – Advancing understanding and design of people-centered carbon pricing, through climate income policies, the PARIS Principles, and the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition.
  • Resilience Intelligence – Reporting on connections between science, data, finance, policy, and the ongoing process of Reinventing Prosperity to achieve progress toward inclusive sustainable development.

Blue Notes emerge from this work, but may also be crafted by allied organizations or independent experts across a range of areas. Explore our Vision for curating these briefing notes on needed innovations in policy, finance, practice, and participatory processes.
